Love, Rosie: Timing is Everything

If you believe that there’s one person we’re each meant to be with, then Love, Rosie is right up your alley. The tearjerking romantic drama is based on Cecilia Ahern’s novel by the same name and stars Lily Collins and Hunger Games star Sam Clafflin.

What’s it about? Best friends who should be lovers (Lily Collins, Sam Clafflin), but timing really isn’t on their side.

What’s it really about? It’s never too late for love.

Pick if:

  • You’re looking for a tearjerking Romance to watch on a date or with your girlfriends: Love, Rosie is guaranteed to make you cry
  • You love stories about best friends falling in love such as When Harry met Sally, One Day, A lot like love or What if
  • You have parents who love and support you unconditionally. Love, Rosie is a love story first and foremost, but Rosie’s relationship with her parents is the real tearjerker
  • You’re a fan of Cecilia Ahern’s books. As far as I can tell, fans of the novel were very pleased with the film

Most memorable scene:

Alex comforts Rosie’s now pre-teen daughter when she is distraught over a boy.

Most memorable quote:

“No matter where you are or who you’re with, I will always truly, completely love you.”

Where can I watch? Love, Rosie is available for streaming on Amazon, Maxdome, iTunes and Netflix (see full list of countries where it’s available).

Love, Rosie (2014): Based on the novel by Cecilia Ahern; running-time 1h 42mins.; starring Lily Collins (The Blind Side), Sam Clafflin (The Hunger Games), Suki Waterhouse (Pride & Prejudice & Zombies), Christian Cooke (Witches of East End), Tamsin Egerton (St. Trinian’s).
